Its modular architecture is built around three core components:

• Wall-mounted audio bars combining microphones and full-range speakers
• Optional microphone pods that enhance coverage and support voice lift
• A system hub providing connectivity, processing and intelligent control

Available in different configurations, HDX can support spaces of up to 12.2 by 18.3 metres. This makes it suitable for environments ranging from high-impact Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms to large teaching and corporate training spaces.

Rather than bringing together numerous standalone components, HDX provides an integrated solution designed to be easier to install, configure, manage and scale.

Consistent audio coverage across the room

At the heart of HDX is Nureva’s patented Microphone Mist™ technology.

Microphone Mist fills the room with thousands of virtual microphones, creating consistent pickup throughout the space. Instead of expecting participants to remain close to a fixed microphone, the system is designed to capture voices wherever people sit, stand or move.

This matters because real collaboration is rarely static. Lecturers move around classrooms. Presenters turn towards displays. Participants change seats or contribute from different parts of the room.

By providing full-room microphone coverage, HDX helps conversations feel more natural for everyone. Remote participants can hear what is being said, while in-room attendees can concentrate on the discussion rather than thinking about where the microphones are positioned.

More than microphone pickup

A successful large-room experience is not only about sending clear audio to remote participants. Everyone inside the room must also be able to hear clearly.

HDX combines its full-room microphone coverage with full-range distributed audio, delivering rich, room-filling sound for voices, presentations, music and video content.

Adaptive Voice Lift further supports larger environments by helping people in the room hear one another more clearly. The system responds dynamically to the location of the person speaking, reducing the need for a collection of dedicated microphones and complicated manual configuration.

Adaptive Voice Amplification can also support presenters using external microphones, helping their voices reach the room while maintaining full-room pickup for remote participants and recording applications.

Together, these capabilities allow HDX to address the complete audio experience rather than solving only one part of the challenge.

Creating more inclusive environments

Accessibility is becoming an essential consideration when organisations design meeting, teaching and event spaces.

Nureva HDX includes assistive listening through Auracast™ broadcast audio. This emerging Bluetooth capability allows compatible hearing aids, headphones and earbuds to receive clear audio directly, helping more people engage with the content being shared.

HDX can also integrate with traditional assistive listening solutions through its auxiliary inputs and outputs.

By incorporating accessibility into the core audio platform, organisations can create more inclusive spaces without treating assistive listening as a separate consideration later in the project.

Designed to adapt

No two large spaces are exactly the same, and many do not remain the same from one meeting to the next.

HDX uses automated calibration to adapt to its environment without requiring continual DSP programming. This can reduce setup time while making it easier to accommodate changes to room layouts and furniture.

The system also supports divisible-room automation. Two spaces can operate independently and then work together when the dividing wall is opened, without the need for additional switching hardware or repeated audio adjustments.*

Single-cable AV-over-IP connectivity, cloud-based monitoring and an intuitive setup application further simplify deployment and ongoing management.
